I’ve been sharing the goings on with Fremont, Nebraska’s discriminatory housing ordinance via social media and actual face to face conversations. People are frequently appalled. They can’t believe this would happen in America. I’ve not been advocating it, but several people have indicated to me that they will no longer spend money in Fremont Nebraska. If you are a manufacturer, Fremont Industry people would like you to consider them, but I think you’ll want to locate somewhere that bigotry has not gotten so well established. Bigotry has a cost and I’m saddened to think the more than 40% of Fremont voters who opposed the discriminatory ordinance are going to suffer the consequences along with the people who favored it. Fremont Pathfinders are going to suffer together.
